  • Herbal remedies: The National Institute of Health states that eating grapes orally may contribute towards a reduced swelling in the legs.
  • Massage: Massaging the legs gently can help aid the blood flow. Care must be taken not to press directly on the veins as it may lead to further damage.
  • Loose Clothing: Wearing tight jeans, pants or trousers can restrict the flow of blood and should be avoided. Likewise, high heels for women are also known to contribute to the development of varicose veins.

  • Stripping and Ligation: The spider veins are removed via surgery.
