Botox or Filler: You Decide!

Let’s face it, we all want to look young. Time can be cruel and unforgiving, and no matter how hard we try to maintain our youthful appearance, signs of aging start showing up.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything about it. There are plenty of safe cosmetic procedures and treatments that can help you effectively reverse signs of aging, and regain that glow!

The two most common procedures people go for are botox and fillers. Let’s take a look at both of these procedures and identify which one is actually the better option:

Botulinum toxin refers to a natural protein that is used for relaxing facial muscles that are responsible for causing lines and wrinkles. The protein is also used for treating various medical conditions, which include Hyperhidrosis.

Of course, it’s more commonly referred to as Botox and has the distinction of being one of the most commonly tested products in the world. It’s widely considered to be one of the safest products used in the medical and cosmetic field.

Although there aren’t any side effects of using botox, it’s still important that you take care immediately after the treatment. While slight bruising and swelling is normal; discoloration, irritation and infections are not.

However, you can be rest assured that apart from that, there are no other side effects of getting Botox injections.

All kinds of patients can go for this treatment but we would suggest that you consult a physician first if you have been suffering nerve conditions. We would also suggest you avoid going for this procedure if you are pregnant.

The whole point of the treatment is to soften the lines of the face and adjust it accordingly in order to make it look natural. In some cases, patients don’t see results immediately.

As you grow older, the level of collagen and elastic in your skin decreases and this makes your skin look dry and thin. Fillers prevent this by adding Hyaluronic acid to your facial muscles. This gives you a youthful appearance.

It’s not just limited to skin either. You can also get lips treated with fillers. This makes them look fuller.

This form of treatment can be used for all kinds of patients but again we would suggest that pregnant women avoid it.

Like with botox, the aim of the treatment is to make you look younger but the treatment last for a longer time and towards the end of the treatment its effects start to soften.
